Do you know what time it is? FRIDAY TIME. If you’re happy it’s Friday, put your virtual hands in the air. Now wave them around like you virtually don’t care.
This outfit rounds out Week 3 of the Take One, Pass it On remix challenge. Off the top of my head I don’t know that any new bloggers have joined in the last week, so if you have, be sure to let me know soon! I’ll put up the Week 3 Roundup on Sunday. All of you that have been with me since the beginning – you are awesome. If you haven’t joined in yet…well, what the heck are you waiting for? There’s one week left, and it’s Thanksgiving week. You’re probably going to want to wear your stretchiest pants a couple days in a row anyway. Don’t give me that look. You know it’s true.

I know you see a lot of business casual on this blog, and on weekends I’ve been wearing lots of shorts and skirts because it’s been so hot this summer. Once classes start back up in a couple weeks, you’ll find that I do in fact wear jeans a lot when left to make my own dress code.
This past Friday was one of the few Fridays I actually worked this summer, and I got to put together a little casual Friday outfit (can I say Friday again? Friday). I actually wore different jeans than the ones pictured to work but after sitting all day the waist band got kind of stretched out so I changed into these to go watch the Olympics at my friends’ house. Which reminds me: trampolining? Crazy.
Since I’m still not in tip-top shape and haven’t ventured out in the world, I can only sit at home popping pain-killers and having dreams about shopping. With a lack of real outfit photos to show you, I thought I would share this visual interpretation of my half-lucid thoughts. While most fashion magazines are already showing us what’s on tap for fall, the reality is that we are still deep in the heart of summer here in Indianapolis and most of the U.S. Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t really feel like trying on turtlenecks when it’s over 90 degrees out. These are just a few things that I wouldn’t mind getting sometime this summer and then transitioning into the fall.
What’s on your shopping wish list these days?
