You might have noticed I’m kind of a shopping fiend, so I’m always proud of myself when I can create an outfit made entirely of things I’ve worn multiple times but that still feels “new.” This was one of those outfits. I wore it to take myself out to coffee (the company was excellent), and then later to go to a local blogger meet-and-greet (the company was still pretty good). I felt sort of nautical and fall-ish all at the same time – like I was sailing a boat under falling leaves. Man, that sounds like even more fun than going to coffee with me.

I wore this on Wednesday night. “WEDNESDAY NIGHT?!” you might ask? Yes, I am so fabulous that I wear long, flowing skirts and fancy heels on weekdays. You know, to go grocery shopping and stuff.
I kid you, of course. Not about the Wednesday part, but the grocery part. I actually finally got around to attending a Pattern meetup, which was my excuse for the fun outfit. Pattern is a group for fashion lovers in Indianapolis. Seeing as I love fashion and I live in Indianapolis, it seemed like the place for me. They have meetups every month, but I haven’t been able to make it to one until now. I saw a couple people I had met before, and made some new friends, too. Considering my general distaste for small talk, I was pretty proud of myself.
Thank you Pattern for a good time…I’ll be back – in more fabulous outfits. You’re welcome in advance.
P.S. Remember when I wore this skirt over the summer with my polka dot tee? Go back in time here.
Faux leather jacket: Express
V-neck tee: Ann Taylor (only $14.99!)
Lip Color: Revlon Just Bitten Kissable in Romantic
Skirt: Zara (no longer available in this color, similar here)
Clutch: old (but love this option)
Sorry if I look a little windblown in these photos…I just got off my Harley. And when I say “Harley,” what I mean is “Nissan Sentra.”
A faux leather jacket was one of the items in my fall shopping list, and thanks to a sales alert from Penny Pincher Fashion, I scored this baby from Express for just $70, including shipping (regular price $118). I’ve always loved the look of a leather jacket over a girly dress, and now I’ve finally made it a reality.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go hang out with Danny Zuko and the other T-Birds.
You’re the one that I want…to follow me on Bloglovin’ and Twitter (get it? funny, right?)
Since tonight is Fashion’s Night Out, I figured what better time to show you my official fall shopping list? And I swear: this is not a cute little collage I just made up to fill space on my blog; these are all items that are actually on my list of things I want to find this season (you can ask my iPhone, who was storing my list up until now).
I will be going to a FNO Indianapolis event at Circle Centre Mall, and perhaps I’ll pick up one or two of these items! I promise to report back.
To everyone else attending FNO wherever you live – and to everyone in smaller towns making your own pretend FNO – have fun! And may the shopping be ever in your favor.
