Yes, I am well aware that pictures look prettier when you take them outside in natural light. But guess what? The wind chills yesterday were below zero and that’s just not happening. I bundled up the best I could so I could stay alive long enough until the heat in my car kicked in.
Let me give you a rundown of just how many articles of clothing I was wearing:
- Fleece-lined leggings
- Fuzzy socks
- Belt & bracelets (a girl’s gotta accessorize)
I kind of felt like Joey in that episode of Friends when he puts on all of Chandler’s clothes. You know what I’m talking about.

Thanks to everyone who helped me out by taking the survey I posted yesterday. I’ve put a lot of work and thought into this blog over its relatively short life, so it’s nice to find out whether what I’m doing is resonating with people. And of course thanks for the support and encouragement you’ve been giving me all along: all the comments, tweets, likes, follows, or just plain old reading. You sure know how to make a girl feel special.
I’m keeping the survey open indefinitely so if you didn’t get a chance yet, please take a minute (literally one minute) to give me your feedback.
This was my outfit from Monday, the first day of class in the new semester. I decided to open with a bang: an orange sequin sweater and matching orange lip.

I try not to walk out of the house looking like a box of free crayons from Applebee’s, but sometimes it just happens. I decided I’m OK with it, especially when it’s cute and cozy like this outfit.
I wore this Saturday to class and then to dinner with friends before I changed into my Halloween costume for the night (but you don’t get to see that until tomorrow).
On another note, I hope all of you on the east coast kept safe during the storm yesterday. Mother Nature is a moody bitch sometimes. If you know anyone who was in the path of Sandy, be sure to call and check on them! And if you’re feeling charitable, you can donate to the Red Cross here.
