Polka Dot Layers

Ann Taylor is a tricksy bitch. She lures me into the store with the promise of an extra 50% off sale items, but then she puts this (full price) amazingly cute polka dot top right in front of me. What’s a girl to do? Buy the amazingly cute polka dot top, obviously. On the plus side, Ann Taylor gives college students 20% off full price items! (They don’t really advertise it, but it’s true. Just show your student ID.)

It’s clearly more of a spring item, and I’m excited to wear it on its own, but I’m not about to wait until April. So layering it is!

Oh, and don’t forget about the Take One, Pass it On Outfit Remix challenge! Check back tomorrow to see my first outfit. Take a look at the details and join in any time you want!

20121104-184542.jpgOn this past gloomy Saturday morning, I dragged my sniffling, congested self to class. Sometimes it just takes a little makeup and a bright cashmere sweater to make you feel like a real person who most certainly did not blow half a cup of snot out of her nose the night before.

Then again, sometimes sprucing yourself up can backfire, like when you convince yourself that you’re feeling all better so you think it’s OK to stay out late and have a couple margaritas, and then on Sunday morning you feel like shit pancakes. Anyway…Have a great week, everyone, and remember to wash your hands.

20121002-083222.jpgIt was rainy yesterday so I had to take my photos inside. Mysteriously, the inside of my apartment looks like a vintage photo at all times.

And SURPRISE! I’m wearing mixed prints again. Too much of a good thing? I don’t think so. Much like with fudge and cheesecake, too much print-mixing causes absolutely no unwanted side effects. So do it all you want. And while you’re at it, bring me some fudge. Thank you.

You might have already guessed this by the fact that I’m in law school (or if you’ve ever met me), but I’m kind of a nerd. My witty comments and cute outfits are just a sneaky way of making you think I’m cool. But just in case you’re still not convinced, I wore my glasses in these pictures.

See it now? Yep. Nerd.

And the nerdiest part is that I actually have good vision. It’s just that sometimes my eyeballs get tired from reading so much and they need a little help.

Sweater available at J. Crew Factory (it’s cotton – super light and comfy)

Shoes are Sperry Top-Sider A/O
