It’s Thursday, May 8, 2014. What does that mean for you? Maybe nothing. But for me, it’s the day I’m taking my very last law school exam – I’M DONE!!!
And what better way to commemorate three overwhelming years than with two underwhelming outfits? Yup.
Both of these are outfits I wore to take exams, hence the pretty simple sweatshirt + jeans equation (that’s what regular kids wear to school…I think). Don’t worry; I’ll be back to my usual fabulousness soon enough. But first I have to wear a big black robe and a funny hat with a tassel. 🙂

DO YOU SEE THIS?! I AM WEARING SHORT SLEEVES. OUTSIDE. It’s supposed to snow tomorrow so we’re not out of the (winter) woods yet, but I took full advantage of the mild, sunny day yesterday. I went as far as pretending it was boating weather. I’m a big fan of
boating wearing a shirt with an anchor on it. Fun fact about this shirt: It’s made for a 14-year-old boy. At least according to J. Crew. But I like to think I wear it a lot better than a boy would.
For reference, I usually wear an XS in women’s shirts, and a boys’ 14 at J. Crew fits me with a little extra room. If you’re petite like me, the boys’ section is a great (and more importantly – cheap) option if you’re into the unisex/androgynous look but don’t want your clothes to swallow you!

Get ready to be MAJORLY impressed. Ready? Good.
#1. I saw this top at J. Crew when it was new. I liked it but it was like $70 for what is essentially a novelty tee. I passed on it. Willpower = impressive.
#2. Fast forward 2 weeks. The J. Crew sale was on sale, and this top was marked down to $17. Major sale score = impressive.
#3. I dropped a Gene Kelly musical reference in this post title. Finding a way to connect a little ol’ outfit post to the greatest performer of all time = impressive.
