Yellow & Pink

Sometimes I dress like a pack of highlighters. In law school (that place I go in my spare time), it’s common to use a color-coded system of highlighting when you read cases – you use a different color to highlight the key points in each part of the opinion. That way it’s easier to find what you need to know quickly if you get called on (if you’ve seen Legally Blonde, you know how important it is to be prepared).

Under the color key I use, in this outfit I’m wearing a reasoning top and holding shoes. And my jeans are the smart and sometimes sarcastic notes I write in the margin in blue pen.

My goal today was to bore as many blog readers as possible. If you’ve actually read this far, color highlight me impressed.

  1. Funny how law school requires you to be prepared with your highlighters – I was the same in my history class. 🙂

Anyways, the lace top is so adorable and I love how you added a punch of magenta with the heels.

  2. 1. I LOVE that Legally Blonde would have been just about the only way you could have explained anything legal to me… & I totally got it!
    2. These colors are perfect!
    3. My new obsession is this type of eyelash lace. OB-SESSSSSED!

  3. ok so I should start by noting that I laughed out loud at this, and I’ve done very little besides sleep, cry, and study for the bar in the last week, so you get a big old +1. AND your top and shoes are also my reasoning and my holding, but your jeans are my precedent. go forth and highlight!!
