When I was in middle and high school, nobody wore cropped pants. It was either capris right under the knee (what were we thinking?) or flared pants that were at least an inch too long. Anything else, and you were wearing “highwaters” and basically committing social suicide.
Times have changed and I’m so glad, because I love the cut of these pants! And I can continue loving them because the bottoms of them won’t get torn up and dirty from dragging the ground.
So…how many years do you think it will be until these are highwaters again? Be sure the let me know because I don’t want the kids at school to tease me.

Girl, if they were a gajillion dollars, I wouldn’t have them. And actually I got them even cheaper than the price I linked to – only $50 at TJ Maxx. But $70 was the best I saw available online. Still a pretty good deal for Kate Spade though!

haha I never thought about it like that but it’s so true – and as a tall girl, I almost always had too short pants! Now I love the slight cropped pants. Oh how times have changed!

I think we are in a free fashion society. Access to street style and fashion blogs has given everyone the idea that they can make fashion their own, their way. I hope it stays this way FOREVER.

You’re the second person this week I’ve seen wearing those pants! I love your take with the vest and the green flats. I agree that I hope ankle length pants stay in style for awhile. I love being able to wear flats and not have my pants drag on the ground!
I guess if I listened to my mom I could have changed the game lol. Highwaters was not the deal when I was growing up but you’re right the whole cropped look is everywhere. Love your ensemble. Shades, pants, & shoes!!
